Interestingly, neither Saif nor Priyanka are the film’s main protagonist. The central character instead would be a child. The movie tells the story of a little boy. Saif and Priyanka play the characters who touch the little kid’s life in different ways. Farhan has worked with both Saif and Priyanka in the past. He cast Saif as an under-confident, out-of-love guy in his directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai . And his last flick Don had Priyanka Chopra playing the role of a spunky woman. The director says he shares excellent rapport with both Saif and Priyanka. Now Farhan is searching for a kid actor to play the leading role in his film. A former Miss World and an A grade actor like Priyanka Chopra didn’t mind promoting a FMCG product by actively participating in a controversy created by the company themselves! Here’s a quick recap- The news of Cricketer Sreesanth calling up Priyanka to express his feelings created quite a furore in the media some time back! News channels flashed the story as ‘Breaking News’ and even played the audio tape of their conversation! Both Sree and Priyanka denied such happening, saying the tapes were forged and called the press to clear the controversy! As we rushed to the venue in an attempt to know the truth we were kept waiting for two hours after which instead of Sreesanth and Priyanka clearing the issue, there were dancers who took to stage and tried entertaining us! If that wasn’t bad enough, soon tv actor Aamir Ali joined Sreesanth and started voicing his love for Priyanka in front of the press! She justified Lux’s publicity stunt by saying, “The concept was catchy besides it feels good to have two men fighting for you! I don’t think this concept was cheap or even misleading! We as celebrities laugh off so many things written about us by the media which are not true. I am sure the people will take this ad in the right spirit and laugh it off too!” On asked whether who would she choose between Sreesanth and Aamir if they were to fancy her truly, the actress said, “I don’t know how I would react if that would happen. I’ll be flattered though!” A blushing Sreesanth who evoked the maximum applause for his dance performance during the launch (not to forget his ‘champu’ hairstyle) said, “I would never stalk a girl in real life. I would want to know her well before I make that phone call!” Sreesanth also confirmed that he is single. “I am single right now”, he said. The Kerala speedster brushed off the rumours regarding his Bollywood career. “I am happy playing cricket right now. Films can happen later”, he said. The controversy may or may not help Lux’s two new beauty bars, but it sure reinstates how soap operas came into being.. must have been a soap promoter who coined such a term because there was certainly a lot of drama for this soap cake. The noted choreographer is turning to direction with a hard-hitting, women-oriented film called ‘Sati’, which is written by Makrand Deshpande. Priyanka had the script narration from Saroj Khan for a couple of times before she reportedly gave her verbal consent to the project. However, just weeks before the film’s shooting was to begin, the actress has excused herself from the movie. Reports say she has signed a plum three-film deal with UTV that leaves her no time for Saroj’s film. Another theory doing the rounds is that Priyanka was daunted by her challenging role in ‘Sati’. The movie required Priyanka to play an actress who gets to enact the role of a friend who committed sati. According to Makrand Deshpande, the role is very demanding and would drain an actress.
